The two butcher birds watch the afternoon clouds from the electricity wires, back to back, each on a wire looking to the north and the south. Together they have an eye out for each other
When we come together we have strength. When we merge the male and the female (this can mean the energies) there is strength. When we merge the left and right, when we bring people, together when we share our energetic calm with enthusiasm with our heart centre we have strength. Maybe expansion happens and enthusiasm.
Then there is greater intimacy, where learning and teaching occur as a great friendship. Individually and as a herd. And if our practice is not working for us then we don’t have to do it alone. And community can give support when things are a bit wobbly. And we can support the community too. With coming together there needs to be receptivity and where there is strength through receptivity there is a power that is very very good for relationship.
Both of the butcher birds preen themselves and each other. The birds do this every day.
The butcher birds sing great harmonies, not just to attract attention, it’s because it’s what they do. And together.
