Massage your memories.

In the not-too-distant future, unless the events of the week were extraordinary most memories will have mixed into the personal electrical brain soup.

As time goes by when looking back at the specifics there will be less detail of what happened and why. And we are able to reflect back on our lives with a calm gratefulness.

Intensity and uniqueness of actions help to keep things fresh, but the reflection of peace needs a mind that is sometimes still and the best place to start with creating that stillness is by taking your awareness to the breath.

So your run, your project, your art, your charity, your work, family, faith, all our thoughts and actions create our perception and memories.  And eventual chosen direction.

And when we reflect back with the breath, our memories are calmed. The bonus of using the breath when thinking about things a past you past gets better and you make better decisions for the future. give thanks for your memories. They have taught you many things, we have felt a lot. Individually and collectively.

There is a collective memory. There is individual memory.

When we do things individually with the breath there is an add on effect of helping collectively. And the present effecting the past. When remember with the breath we are more likely to learn and forgive, heal and be forgiven, a calm positivity can come from our reflection.

I am not convinced these are the only places we keep memories. But wiki say that we are storing memories, in three different parts of the brain, depending on what types of memories, the hippocampus, the amygdala, the striatum fortunately they are all pretty close so, we can self massage our own heads, and help all three at once.

Breath in and out through the nose, smile.

Now begin to self massage your head, the jaw, the skull, remember the breath, the brow, the temples even the top of the head, but especially the sides of the head and around the ears.

Inhale to the chest, massage. Allow your self to receive gratitude for your memories, massage more. And sit for a moment with a full breath.

Then Exhale keep massaging especially the sides of the head and around the ears, between your fingers are the three parts of the brain that love love. Exhale continue massage, the jaw, the skull, remember the breath, the brow, the temples even the top of the head, a strong gratitude for your memories. And wait a moment before Inhale.

Spread the love
