Here are five yoga tips for everybody.
One: Focus on the breath as the body moves.
Two: Let the breath envelop the movement so that the breath starts before the movement and the breath finishes after the movement.
Three: Inhale, the whole chest expands. Exhale the belly comes in and up.
Four: Become connected to the heart centre, at the base of the breast and breast bone.
Five: Be comfortable. Effort but no pain.
And to put it all together. From sitting with the hands beside the waist extend up through the top of the head tuck the chin in slightly. Inhale expand the chest then bring the arms in a circle around the outside of the body, look up at the hands as they meet, then finish the inhalation, notice the pause and exhale, belly in and up as the hands come to in front of the chest in prayer position.
Bow the head and you can accept that you are the power of the cosmos. Not an imaginary story.
