The rain it comes with excitement, our bodies feel it especially when it has been a while. If we break from our practice there is excitement to get back into it. And when there is thunder it is more exciting, our practice can take us like thunder. We can let our body and mind feel that excitement.
So the rain soaks the ground for a short while. We can smell the rain and the life it brings now, and for the future. When your practice is with the breath there is a greater connection to the now., and the nurturing force. And a good short soaking is like your practice a good short soaking.
And then the rain stops. And your practice finishes. And the birds give rejoice like it’s morning but it’s midday. And we can sit and breathe and listen and rejoice.
The creek swells like it does. With regular rain, it flows through the large rocks.
Our practice can be receptive for us, like the rain to the creek.
Inhale take yourself back to a memorable clap of thunder and receive that excitement. Pause with the inhalation. Then exhale, softly roll your shoulders back, and feel that strength and excitement of the clap of thunder. Pause with the chest open at the bottom of the exhalation.
