Breaths of capacity

Our bodies as a living, breathing, moving, thinking, lover, artist, and naturally good person, has evolved from all our ancestors. All of our ancestors breaths, actions, food, sleep, and breading. But most of who we are is from our breath.

Everything we do is done best with mindfulness, actions are at their best when we pay them specific attention, but modern society has meant we have become very distracted. The new normal is taking the natural beauty of our breathing and movement and making our breath shallow and to often through the mouth, whilst sitting us in chairs and constantly distracting our minds! That distraction might be well-meaning, but avoiding focus on the simple and important things is costly. If we don’t breathe correctly then we are doing ourselves a great injustice both physically and emotionally. If we sit on a cushin, the floor, a step -to engage the core muscles, watch the breath so resting the mind, a short and simple practice with attention our bodies will blossom.

So right now, you need to stall those distractions and be with your breath.

Sit on the floor or stand then, with haste through your nose, breath in, a lot fuller than normal,  pause and breath out with haste, a lot more fully, and when you think you have breathed right out, breath out even more of that waste air, notice the pause. And then do it again bigger! These faster breaths of capacity will help create additional carbon monoxide.

Now do two more large breaths the same as before but make the inhalation and exhalation slow, this will allow your body to accept more oxygen because it replaces the carbon monoxide you just created with a top-up of fresh oxygen.

Connect to your body, think with gratitude, and smile with the breath, this will further allow us to move more confidently in our chosen direction.
