Got weeds

A friend of mine who is a biodynamic farmer on a small scale, which means he creates healthy soil with composting and multiple crop rotation (there is more to it but you get the idea). An organic farmer, with various plants and quantities able to supply family, friends and customers, they have a grounded and clear approach to life.

After the considerable rains recently, I asked him “How his harvest is going?” to which he replied. “oooh wow it’s very good but there are many weeds which are taking energy away from the beetroot, watermelon, and other desired plants.”

And this is a nice metaphor for life. When times are good and productive, when your actions produce the bounty, it is crucial to keep your eyes on the prize as there is the risk of undesirable weeds popping up in your fertile soil.

Without weeding, your garden will become an overgrown wilderness. Similarly, in life, it’s crucial to tend to the positive aspects and invest energy into the things that truly matter and be mindful of the things that hold you back from going in your chosen direction.

Sending your love, loyalty, and devotion to those who you love, it may be a person, a river, a tree, a plant, a wave, whatever it is, the surrender and sending of the good vibes will help you move better on the dance floor of life.

By yielding and acknowledging there is weeding to do, you are removing the power of fear and doubt from your organic garden.
