Our middle finger, lets look at it, circle it around, and push through it from the knuckle, see how it connects to your hand and feel how it is part of your body, so lovely and incredible, move it back and forth, left and right get it to take a bow, touch the palm of your hand with the tip of your finger, feel the friction from your unique fingerprints.
Touch your heart centre at the sternum with this beautiful digit. Notice the middle finger as part of the whole body. The skin of the middle finger, bones, and joints, and muscles and ligaments. Energise and then relax that one finger.
When you are in adomuka svanasana, (downward facing dog) pose push through and connect the middle finger and the thumb, stretch and connect. Having other fingers to work with, they make quite a team, with the breath creating receptive alignment, and strength.
Now our eye lids. When it is safe and convenient look at them, one eye at a time, see the muscles that push them down and bring them up, then see how they are part of your body so lovely and incredible, blink them both at the same time, open and squeeze them shut, open them wide and shut them gently, remove the drama, smile and let them softly take a bow.
Ride the breath and notice the eyelids without looking, feel them, acknowledge their importance.
By closing the eyelids and watching the breath we get invited into the mysterious inner world. closing the door to the outer world and opening the door to the inner world.
