To begin

Go to the breath. Acknowledge the journey you are about to go on, what it is you are about to do.

Feel the weight of your body on your foundations. The weight of the buttocks on the seat or the floor and the weight of the feet on the ground. Create extension through the spine by tucking the tailbone under, lifting through the top of the head and tuck the chin in slightly, shift the weight slightly forward and backward.

Be aware of the movement of the body and breath.

With a smile lengthen the exhalation and allow yourself a present awareness.

Then warm up, stretch, focus and remove the struggle by taking a smile into the heart centre

The experience of your practice, your work, your art, and your personal journey will be safer, more fulfilling and correct when you take a moment to prepare.

Spread the love.
